Lux

Worldwide campaign for Lux soap in Bangkok showcasing Asian movie stars

The newest campaign for Lux shot for six days in Bangkok, half in sets built on the stage and half in street locations with a modern Western look. Living Films joined with the Sweetshop out of New Zealand and JWT in Bangkok to produce the series of spots which featured two of Asia’s established movie stars, Priyanka from India and Iman from Pakistan. In both cases, crowd control on set was necessary to keep the stars’ avid fans at bay.

Living Films hopes that the Lux “Diva” spots will help to showcase the fact that Bangkok can produce such an effective clean ‘Western’ look. The ability of the Thai art teams in conjunction with the availability of world class film studios in Bangkok are starting to be recognized around the world. However, the availability of Western style streets and locations are not as well known.

Because of the nature of these particular spots, Living Films had to also organize a number of large flying rigs on the streets of Bangkok, which we put in the capable hands of Bangok’s best rigging outfit “Baan Rig.” The spots also required high-speed cameras to shoot close up fruit elements and swirling/ splashing cream elements. All styling/ wardrobe, glam, soap, and bubble teams were also arranged in Bangkok and the six day shoot was a complete success.
