The award winning Absolut print campaign in which the shape of their vodka bottle is creatively outlined in various contexts in different countries around the world has grown into a worldwide cult phenomena.  There are people who try to collect all the ads in the series and are always on the lookout for new absolut print campaigns.  

Thus, Living Films was more than happy to help coordinate the next in line for this amazing campaign.  The concept was to create the outline of the vodka bottle using floating vendor boats in the famous floating market just outside of Bangkok.  And despite the fact that we had always assumed Absolut used photoshop to achieve their effects, in fact, we were required to truly create the shape of the bottle in the middle of the river using boats.   

Because of the strong ocean tide in the rivers of the floating market, the task was easier said than done.  Quickly the shoot became more like a television commercial than a still shoot.  We used picture boats, floating platforms, camera platforms, extras, set dressing, locations, assistant directors, etc.  In the end, though, the results speak for themselves... and everyone went home happy.
