Living Films joined with Independent Productions out of Belgium to help produce the Thailand parts of the first three episodes of the second season of Matrioshki. The shooting took place in Bangkok and Pattaya over four long weeks from Oct. 2 to Oct. 26, 2006.

Matrioshki is a series that claims to expose the realities of human trafficking around the world and is supported by Amnesty International. Although the content can be controversial at times, the goal of the series is to instigate positive change in laws and public perception in order to alleviate the suffering of trafficked women.

Despite a difficult shoot using limited resources and budget, the Living Films team hopes the television series can be an effective and positive catalyst to change perceptions towards trafficked women around the world.
