The mountainous village of Lung Phac in Northern Vietnam has seen dramatic and positive changes in the last six years due to primary health care project implemented by the Danish and Vietnam Red Cross.

"Everybody likes the project. We don't get sick as often, and the women give birth to healthier babies" says Xin Thi Phuong, one of the village health volunteers who have been trained by the project.

In fact, dynamic community involvement from the very beginning has been one of the main keys to the success of the project which now covers 29 communities in four provinces.

"Health in the Hills" explores the innovative approach of this project and documents the positive changes in Lung Phac and neighbouring villages. It also looks to the future of the project as it is now being expanded to cover eight new provinces.
