Symantec

Thailand portion of the Worldwide campaign for Symantec

In March 2007, the US production company Order.TV contacted us to help produce the Thailand portion of this TV spot for "Symantec". The idea of this spot was to show a conveyor belt running seamlessly around the world to resemble the concept of a protected, non-stop stream of data.

Director Paul Santana's vision for Thailand was to find the most striking images around Bangkok to then insert his CGI conveyer belt over. Thus, the Living Films team set out to scout exotic and diverse settings within a close proximity of Bangkok.

In the end we settled on several amazing spots: the ancient ruins of Ayutthaya, the floating markets near Bangkok, an elephant painted in Hindu style, the Bangkok sky train and a traditional Thai Tuk-Tuk in Bangkok traffic.

Because of the ambitious worldwide requirements of the TV spot, the budget for each country was quite limited... and yet, using a small but hard working crew for four days of shooting, we were able to get the most from each of our Thailand locations... and the Thailand footage looked amazing!
