Commerzbank
Saatchi & Saatchi print campaign for the German bank.
Under the slogan "With whom do German companies do their business abroad? With the Commerzbank!" the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, Frankfurt developed a creative concept for a Commerzbank print campaign.
As a location they were looking for a setting which would be instantly recognizable as Asian. The idea of the picture was to combine Asian spirituality in the form of meditating Buddhist monks with the accessories of western corporate culture.
Living Films guided Saatchi & Saatchi and Photographer Gerd Georg from the Kai Tietz Agentur der Photographen in Hamburg to a location in Thailand's north. In Chiang Mai they found just what they were looking for - a beautiful temple square bordered by an ornate wall in typical Thai architectural style.
Living Films obtained filming permissions from the Thai Film Board - sometimes a bit tricky when Buddhist themes are involved. Living Films casted the extras and did the outfitting. We organized the shipping of the props from Germany and contracted all necessary technical equipment.
The successful 2-day photo-shoot took place in October 2003.
