Allianz
Bangkok’s biggest building site poses for Allianz
Together with the TVC, which we shot in January 2008, global insurer Allianz wanted a still photo shoot as part of its advertising campaign. Global risk management was the subject. The setting for both was Makkasan, Bangkok’s airport railway link station to be and a gigantic building site, which allowed Allianz to portray its involvement in mega projects around the world.
In an overlapping production, we were at Makkasan construction site with the stills photographer while the helicopters of the TVC shoot were circling overhead doing their aerials. It was a smooth transition from one media to the next.
In a two day shoot Thilo Sicheneder went far beyond the images of the TV-campaign. While the story of the spot focused on a group of executives visiting their shared project, the still shoot also included documentary material of work in progress and the men doing it. Furthermore we staged live scenarios with extras, our cast and lots of construction vehicles and props. With everyone covered in dust and sweat it became hard to differentiate between the stills team and the real construction workers at the site
