Sniper III

The final film of the Columbia TriStar trilogy, starring Tom Berenger

Shooting for six weeks in early 2004, Living Films completed work on the Sony/ Columbia TriStar feature "Sniper 3". The film, directed by P.J. Pesce ("The Adventures of Chico and Guapo") was shot entirely in Northern Thailand.

Locations in and around Chiang Mai were shot to double as several different countries; including a United States' army base, an upscale American ballroom, a desert in Afghanistan and many locations shot to be Vietnam. For the Vietnamese scenes, we were able to find convincing Vietnamese cityscapes, jungles, rivers and caves- all in the Chiang Mai vicinity.

The movie stars Tom Berenger and Byron Mann. Accomplished Thai actors like Dom Hetrakul, Tharinee Songkiathana and Nophan Boonyal also added to the authenticity of the picture. Furthermore, Thailand's diverse population offered a pool of Vietnamese looking extras and western stand-ins.

Live action special effects added excitement to jungle-battles, night-club shoot-outs and multiple full-scale explosions. True to life military scenes included a full complement of Eastern and Western weapons (brought in from New Zealand) and army helicopters.

During production, only a handful of key crew positions were filled by foreign crew. The rest of the crew, including many of the department heads, were Thai. Living Films brought together a talented team, including a Thai Production Designer, a Thai Casting Director, a Thai coordinator, Thai production supervisor, Thai UPM and a Thai Costume Designer.
