Production Coordinator

Hi, I'm Porngpan Jomsak. You can call me 'Goong'. That means 'Shrimp' in English and is my nickname. Here in Thailand everyone has one of those.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and brought up in Chiang Mai, where Living Films is based. I started my career in film in 1989 when 'Air America' was produced in Thailand. I just walked up to the set and asked for a job and I got one. At the time I was only a tiny part of the overall film team working as a transportation assistant, but I felt so excited about working on an international movie. The excitement for this work has always stayed with me.

Movie after movie, I have managed to move up through the ranks of production, finally establishing myself as an experienced production coordinator. Then, several years ago, I threw my lot in with the others at Living Films. I became a partner, because I believe in the company, what it stands for and the way it treats its crew.

I love my job as production coordinator. It gives me the chance to engage with people from all around the globe and it never gets boring. Every project is different and I learn something new everytime. My team and I are the heart of every production and we’ll always put in whatever work it takes to get the job done.
