Film Studios

Bangkok has several world class studio complexes... two of which have been built in the last five years and could compete with studios almost anywhere in the world. One thing Thailand has never been very good at is self-promotion. One of the two newest studio complexes actually didn't even have a website for several years. Therefore the first producers we brought there certainly didn't expect to see the type of facilities that are available.

However, most of the individual studios are not truly sound proof. There are only two or three stages in which you will not hear at least a low hum if there is a torrential tropical downpour. All in all, though, the film studios in Bangkok... most of the studios have either 9 or 10 meter roves (29 to 33 feet.) There are full grids of cat walks for lighting and clean stylish make-up and dressing rooms.

For a recent feature film production we decided to create our production office above the studios which ended up costing much less than office space would have cost in our crew hotel or in a commercial city location.
