Wire Work
Thailand is known for it's amazing wire work and stunts. Most wire rigs are still people powered... and any good stunt wire team will have a team of ‘pullers' along.
For indoor wire work, there have to be pick points created or fastened for the system of wires and pulleys to work. For outdoor wire work, we will generally use cranes. 25 ton and 45 ton cranes are standard fare depending on the requirements of the stunt and wire work being performed. The cranes will be carefully placed and wire pick points will be fastened to the cranes.
It is usually surprising to overseas stunt crew how fast the Thai stunt teams can set up amazing wire stunts. They will send people flying and fighting through the air in harnesses or have them scaling up and down walls in no time.
