In Thailand internet is not as fast or as cheap as it is in the West, but there are almost always network solutions that will work for any given production's requirements.

Internet service in Thailand is improving quickly. The level of connection we can obtain really depends on the shooting location. Usually we will recommend getting a lease line direct ADSL connection... and although the speeds are not yet comparable with the West, it is usually sufficient to run a production office.

For some productions we have needed to upload dailies files each evening (for download overseas) which requires one dedicated fast upload line.

Also, if we are shooting on location, we will often suggest outfitting one production bus with a mobile internet setup. In Thailand there are GPRS systems available that give laptops 24 hour access throughout the country at a reasonable rate. There are also satellite internet solutions.
