Thailand is notorious for its spectacular waterfalls. However, the key is access for filming. It's no use to look at location pictures of beautiful waterfalls that have no chance of supporting a production. However, if you really know your locations, even after narrowing down the waterfalls to those with good access, there are still lots of incredible options.

There is plenty of water, rivers and streams throughout Thailand, but nothing compares to the mighty Mekong River. In some stretches the Mekong is so wide that it is actually hard to capture on film. But the life along the river is amazing and there are many unique locations for filming. However, one does not need to travel so far from Bangkok to get river life... and the Chao Praya's amazing network of canals and off shoots lend themselves to fascinating city/ river life.
